Ice spiders crawl eagerly toward a tree shadow.

I had no idea this pattern existed till I launched the drone over a pond, and it surprised me.

My guess is that methane bubbling up from the rotting plants on the bottom melted the ice, and little fractures spread randomly from the breach.
