Against a glorious sky, a single heron glides for a moment before settling at the shore to search for its diet of small fish.

Photographing birds in flight is really hard. Many of the hundreds of frames end up as empty sky, or capture only a part of the bird. It was my good luck that this blue heron found its place in the middle of my frame. What a glorious sight!
